For colonists, plants were everything from food to clothes to medicine. The study of plants (botany) was a growing field in the 1700s, and we even had our own London Town botanist: Dr. Richard Hill. Come on down to explore where colonial plants came from, how they were studied, and how different cultures’ plant knowledge shaped plant cultivation here at London Town.
For ages 6-14.
