Middle School Homeschool Garden Engineering: The Scientific Method and Creating Your Own Experiment

Description: Don't shrink in the heat, explore it! Discover how scientists ask questions, test ideas, and learn from the world around them. This class will give your child a deeper understanding of the scientific method by working together to create an experiment to either prove or disprove the statement: It's cooler in the shade. Students will walk away with a practical understanding of the scientific method, the data they have collected, and hopefully knowledge that will help them survive the summer heat. (Middle School Level Ages 11-14*)

*If there are not enough students to run this program, it will be combined with the elementary level class, but older students will receive the upper-level worksheet.
